# ActionSA has rejected president Cyril Ramaphosa’s urgent application to interdict Parliament’s Section 89 Impeachment Committee from commencing its work. The president has approached the Western Cape High Court, seeking to block the committee’s work until a separate review of the Section 89 panel report is concluded. ActionSA’s spokesperson, Lerato Ngobeni, says Parliament’s constitutional responsibilities cannot be indefinitely suspended through litigation:
