# Gauteng Human Settlements MEC Tasneem Motara says the department will prioritise housing delivery, title deed transfers and informal settlement upgrades during the 2026/27 financial year. Targets include the construction of eight-thousand-448 housing units, delivery of 300 serviced sites and registration of five-thousand-681 title deeds. Motara says the department also plans to renovate hostels, release serviced stands and create nearly one-thousand-500 jobs. She reaffirmed the department’s commitment to accountable spending and sustainable human settlements across Gauteng.
