# Union federation Cosatu has welcomed Cabinet’s decision to officially approve the complete write-off of all outstanding and unpaid historical e-toll debt in Gauteng. This follows the government’s decision to discontinue the electronic tolling system on the Gauteng Freeway Improvement Project, which took effect on 12 April 2024.
