# We start off with rugby: Rugby: Springbok lock Jean Kleyn has been ruled out for the opening match of the Incoming Series after sustaining an injury during the team’s 54-7 victory over the Barbarians on Saturday. He will return to his Irish club, Munster, to recover and undergo rehabilitation. The Boks have started their on-field preparations for the first official Test of the season against Italy at Loftus on Saturday. They play Italy again in Gqeberha a week later before the closing match of the series against Georgia in Mbombela on 19 July.
More rugby news: The Junior Springboks scored 11 tries in their Pool A opener against Australia in the World Rugby Under-20 Championship in Italy. Coach Kevin Foote praised his team’s 73-17 victory after they outplayed Australia in the game, which was played in tough conditions. The Ferraris of Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton took third and fourth as Norris closed the gap on Piastri in the drivers’ championship to 15 points. Norris started on pole and held on for his third victory of the season. Four-time world champion Max Verstappen of Red Bull crashed out on the first lap after a collision with Kimi Antonelli’s Mercedes when the young Italian rookie’s tyres locked up.
