AfriForum’s Alana Bailey says public interest outweighs privacy concerns since only exam numbers are shared:
# Telkom has completed the first phase of its retrenchment process, affecting one-thousand-800 jobs. The telecoms giant reported a 1.9-percent revenue growth to 21-billion-rand, driven by strong revenue performance. CEO Serame Taukobong says the focus is on cutting operational costs and improving revenue mix to build a resilient company:
# WeBuyCars has achieved record vehicle sales, selling 165-thousand-185 units in the past year, boosting revenue by 16.5-percent to 23.3-billion-rand. The company says despite one-off costs impacting headline earnings, core earnings rose nearly 25-percent to 815-million-rand, enabling its first dividend payout. CEO Faan van der Walt calls the year monumental, citing growth amid industry challenges, driven by its 16 national branches and online presence.
# Rugby: New Zealand flanker Samipeni Finau has been ruled out of Saturday’s clash with Italy in Turin after failing a concussion test. He came off early in their 30-29 defeat to France, after suffering a head knock with Peter Lakai playing the remainder of the match. Jordie Barrett, who left the field with a knee injury before halftime, is a doubt for the Test. Sam Cane will be available after recovering from a head knock he sustained in the victory over Ireland.

It reveals that 36-percent of women, about 7.8-million, have experienced physical or sexual abuse, with many of them abused by intimate partners. The council’s Khangelani Zuma told the media the study also found that 70-percent of men believe women should obey their husbands, and some even think women cannot refuse sex with their husbands:
