# The Department of Health violated the right of dignity for the Enyobeni tavern victims’ families
# And cricket: The Warriors and the Dolphins will fight it out to face the Lions in the final of the CSA T20
# Former Steinhoff CEO Markus Jooste’s will reveals he left his widow and sole heir, Ingrid Jooste, three firearms, eight cars, policies, and 74-thousand-rand in cash, among other things. The document was filed in Grabouw in the Western Cape. Uuncertainty looms as his estate faces a 475-million-rand fine imposed by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority for misleading financial statements. News24 reports the South African Reserve Bank has frozen assets listed in the will, including vehicles, paintings, and jewellery. Jooste’s alleged former lover, Berdine Odendaal, also had assets seized by the Reserve Bank.
# The South African Human Rights Commission’s report on the Enyobeni tavern tragedy indicates that the Department of Health violated the right of dignity to the victims’ families. Twenty-one teenagers died in the tavern during a pens-down party in 2022. # President Cyril Ramaphosa has commended Airports Company South Africa, in collaboration with airlines, for their efforts to enhance accessibility for persons with disabilities at airport facilities. These initiatives include designated parking, assisted lounges, and private search facilities. It comes as Biden faces a tough election rematch against Donald Trump, with climate action seen as key to galvanizing youth and progressive voters.
# Cricket: The Warriors and the Dolphins will meet in Durban in the second semifinal of the CSA T20 Challenge tonight. The winner of that game will face the Lions, who secured a home final with a commanding victory over the Titans last night. The Warriors made the knockout phase despite losing their last four games.
