# FlySafair has reassured travelers with bookings on its international routes from 29 November onward, that it has contingency plans if its license is suspended. The International Air Services Licensing Council found the airline’s shareholding non-compliant, potentially grounding its international flights, including to Mauritius and Zanzibar. FlySafair is seeking an urgent interdict to halt the suspension, with a hearing set for the 26th of this month. It advises passengers to review travel insurance policies for coverage. Domestic flights remain unaffected.
# The Automobile Association says South African motorists can expect a mixed bag of fuel price adjustments in December. The AA’s spokesperson, Eleanor Mavimbela, says current unaudited data from the Central Energy Fund indicates a slight reduction in petrol prices, and more substantial increases to diesel and illuminating paraffin prices. She says based on the data, the price of unleaded 95 octane is expected to reduce by approximately five-cent-per-litre, while unleaded 93 is set for a reduction of approximately 16-cents-per-litre:
# The Limpopo government is urging parents to remain calm following the hospitalisation of 75 learners from Dzumeri Primary School yesterday due to suspected food poisoning. The learners are suspected to have drunk milk and fallen ill. Limpopo premier’s spokesperson, Thilivhali Muavha, says out of the 75 learners who were observed at Nkhensani Hospital, only eleven remained overnight for further observation and are currently in stable condition:
# Tennis: The organisers of the Davis Cup Finals promised a special farewell to Spanish maestro Rafael Nadal at the tournament, starting in Málaga, Spain, on Tuesday. Tournament director Feliciano Lopez says they are lucky to host his close friend’s final tournament and plans to offer him a farewell that lives up to his glittering career. Lopez says many tennis and other sports stars want to attend. Nadal joins compatriots such as Carlos Alcaraz and Roberto Bautista Agut in the country’s team for the tournament.

# And finally: A one-thousand-700-piece private collection of Chinese ceramics with an estimated value of 23-billion-rand has been donated to the British Museum, a record for any UK institution. The central London museum announced that the Trustees of The Sir Percival David Foundation had gifted the collection permanently to go on public display. David, who died in 1964, was a British businessman and Sinophile who collected ceramics from Europe, Japan, Hong Kong and China. His collection had been on loan to the museum since 2009.
