# DA leader John Steenhuisen has announced steps the party will take in its ongoing campaign against cadre deployment. Steenhuisen emphasises the severe consequences of cadre deployment and the DA’s commitment to challenging its impact on the country:
# The Johannesburg Specialised Commercial Crimes Court has denied corruption-accused former Transnet chief financial official, Anoj Singh, any relaxation of his bail conditions. He lodged the application in order to take up a permanent CEO job offer in Dubai. Magistrate Emmanuel Magampa says the court finds it hard to believe Singh could not find any work in South Africa. He adds he was concerned about the sketchy details provided by Singh about his proposed employment in Dubai. Singh is currently out on 50-thousand-rand bail.
# RISE Mzansi says it has proudly and successfully uploaded 112-thousand-and-18 signatures to the Electoral Commission’s portal. The airline will operate flights from Newark to Tel Aviv with a stop-over in Munich, Germany, with return flights from Israel to Newark on March 3 and March 5. The goal is to resume a daily non-stop service to Tel Aviv from Newark on a Boeing 787-10, starting on the sixth of March.
# Soccer: Chances are Banyana Banyana’s two Olympic qualifying matches against Tanzania won’t be broadcast on the SABC, but only on SuperSport. The two teams clash in Dar-es-Salaam this afternoon, and again in Mbombela on Tuesday. TimesLIVE reports the public broadcaster lost the rights to show the matches, which are the penultimate round of qualifying for the Games in Paris in July. Banyana participated in the 2012 Games in London, and again in Rio de Janeiro four years later.
