# The ANC’s integrity commission has reportedly recommended that almost 100 members should be excluded from the party’s election candidate lists. City Press reports some of the high-profile members were implicated in corruption and wide-spread state capture in the Zondo commission. Among those flagged are Sport, Arts and Culture minister Zizi Kodwa; former president Jacob Zuma; former health minister Zweli Mkhize; Deputy Human Settlements, Water and Sanitation minister David Mahlobo; former North West premier Supra Mahumapelo; and MPs Mosebenzi Zwane, Bongani Bongo and Thabang Makwetla.

Earlier, the Sharks’ miserable season continued when they lost 40-10 to the Lions in Johannesburg. The Lions’ six-try, bonus-point victory means the Sharks have suffered ten defeats in eleven matches.
# The City of Cape Town says from the Cape Town Cycle Tour, Open Book Festival Youth Fest, Cape Town Carnival to the Cape Town Surf Pro, the Mother City is in for a busy month of events. The metro’s Events Permit Office is anticipating processing permits for more than 60 events. Mayoral committee member for Safety and Security, JP Smith, says the world’s largest timed cycle race pedals through the Mother City on Sunday next week, with over 30-thousand cyclists taking on the 109-kilometre and 49-kilometre routes around the Peninsula:
