The DA has objected to parts of the Basic Education Laws Amendment Act and the National Health Insurance. Both parties have also been at loggerheads over Tshwane’s mayorship. Mashatile told the Financial Times that the government was introducing mechanisms, including a dispute resolution body that he would co-chair with minister of Public Works and Infrastructure Dean Macpherson, to resolve arguments.

Solidarity’s Theuns du Buisson warns that the NHI could bankrupt the state due to poor planning:

Fielding errors including dropped catches were crucial mistakes they made in their seven-wicket loss to England. Wolvaardt says the accuracy and consistency of the spin bowlers will also need to improve. The Proteas still have a chance of reaching the semifinals with two must-win games against Scotland and Bangladesh.
