# President Cyril Ramaphosa will participate in the annual Presidential Golf Challenge at Cape Town’s Atlantic Beach Golf Estate tomorrow. Hosted after the state of the nation address, the event, organised by the Ministry of Public Service and Administration, raises funds for various charities. The Presidency’s spokesperson, Vincent Magwenya, says proceeds, managed by the Cyril Ramaphosa Foundation, will support education and skills development initiatives nationwide:
# The SA Army Band Western Cape honoured the late former president Nelson Mandela’s legacy with a concert at Jubilee and Jabulani Memorial Homes in Cape Town. The concert was part of the global 67 Minutes initiative. The band performed timeless pieces like Frank Sinatra in Concert, Misty, Rock Fantasy, and Carpenters in Concert. The band says the performance was a musical tribute not only to Mandela’s enduring spirit of service but also a celebration of community and heritage.
# The City of Ekurhuleni has partnered with The Arts and Culture Trust to launch South Africa’s first Smart Theatre and Mixed Reality Lab Programme. This innovative initiative is designed to equip performers, creators, social media specialists, and arts entrepreneurs based in the region, with access to cutting-edge technology and critical Fourth Industrial Revolution skills in virtual and immersive performance. .# This year’s South by Southwest Film and Television Festival in the US will present 111 movies and 17 series, including short films and music videos. The festival will open with Another Simple Favour, the sequel to the 2018 comedic thriller, A Simple Favour, starring Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick. Other headline films that will be shown include Ben Affleck’s The Accountant 2, and Holland starring Nicole Kidman. The festival will run in Austin, Texas, from the seventh to the 15th of March.
# And finally: The original members of Black Sabbath will play a concert together for the first time in 20 years. Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler and Bill Ward, will reunite for one last time, to play a fund-raising concert in Birmingham, England, on the fifth of July. All profits from the show will be shared equally between Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital and Acorn Children’s Hospice. Formed in 1968, Black Sabbath, regarded as the godfather of heavy metal, has sold more than 75-million albums worldwide.
