# Stellenbosch University has honoured the legendary physicist and mathematics teacher Walter Hazell Parry, by naming one of its two new residences on the North Campus after him. This follows approval from the university’s Rectorate. Parry made significant contributions to physics education and assisted the early development of the Physics Department at the institution. He died in 1966. The other new residence is called Khayalethu Residence, a Xhosa/Zulu term meaning our home. The university says the name highlights its commitment to inclusion.
# The inaugural Hout Bay and Llandudno Art Fair is set to showcase over 100 local artists, including Grace Cross, Imraan Christian, and Schalk van der Merwe.
