About 25-percent of the one-thousand-864 companies surveyed are realising financial net benefits of seven-percent or more of their yearly revenues, from reducing emissions in line with their ambitions. Boston Consulting’s Diana Dimitrova says companies generate the financial benefits from decarbonising from lower costs and taxation:

The power station’s unit one suffered an unexpected shutdown last Wednesday. Following Eskom’s recent maintenance of the unit, the National Nuclear Regulator granted it a 20-year operating licence extension in July. Green Connection’s, Liz McDaid, says the extension of Koeberg’s life decision is fatally flawed:

According to a report by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, between now and 2050, 40-million more children will have stunted growth. Twenty-eight million more will suffer from wasting, the most extreme and irreversible form of malnutrition, as a result of climate change. Gates says around 90-percent of the negative effect of climate change works through the food system.
