# We kick off with rugby: The Stormers and the Bulls are playing their final pool matches of the Champions Cup this weekend. # Cricket: England’s Will Jacks delivered a superb all-round performance to lead the Pretoria Capitals to their first win of this year’s SA20 season, a 17-run victory over Durban’s Super Giants in Centurion. Jacks scored 101 off 42 balls, the third century of this year’s competition, that set up the Capitals’ 204 for nine. In reply, Jacks together with Hardus Viljoen and Wayne Parnell claimed two wickets each to restrict the Super Giants to 187 for seven. # Tennis: Last year’s runner-up, Greece’s Stefanos Tsitsipas, has set up a mouth-watering fourth-round clash against American Taylor Fritz at the Australian Open. Tsitsipas defeated France’s Luca Van Assche, while Fritz came from a set down to beat Hungarian Fabian Marozsan. Italian Jannik Sinner earned his third straight-sets victory against Argentine’s Sebastian Baez to make the round of 16 for the third consecutive year. In the women’s draw, defending champion Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus eased passed Ukraine’s Lesia Tsurenko, 6-love, 6-love.
# And finally, golf: Former winner Li Haotong carded a five-under-par 67 in the first round for a four-way share of the lead in the Dubai Desert Classic. The Chinese share the lead with Rasmus Højgaard of Denmark, American Cameron Young and England’s Andy Sullivan. England’s Richard Mansell finished in a five-way tie for second place on four-under. Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy started his quest for a record-breaking fourth title with a 71 to sit four shots off the lead.
