# The Congress of the People has strongly condemned acting Police minister Firoz Cachalia for accusing National Police commissioner Fannie Masemola of interfering in 121 political killings dockets. With a background in print and broadcast journalism, he brings extensive expertise, and Lesufi wishes him success in serving Gauteng residents.

The IDF says Obeida was a key target of an attack in the al-Rimal neighbourhood. Hamas has not confirmed his death. The IDF says Obeida led propaganda and psychological terror campaigns, spreading footage of abducted Israeli civilians and soldiers and the atrocities of the October 7th massacre. It adds that Obeida can no longer spread his lies, propaganda, and terror.
