# The ANC has strengthened its integrity commission by establishing a new appeals panel to address ethical conduct among its members. The panel will allow individuals to appeal decisions made by the commission and ensure that members under investigation can respond to draft reports. Briefing the media on the outcomes of the special national executive committee meeting in Boksburg, ANC secretary general Fikile Mbalula said the changes aim to ensure fairness while maintaining ethical behaviour in the party:
The ANC has also announced the upcoming January 8 rally will take place in Cape Town. The event marks the party’s celebration of its founding and will serve as an opportunity to mobilise support and engage with members and the public. Mbalula told the media the party is expected to highlight its goals and achievements during the rally, further solidifying its presence in the region:
# The Competition Tribunal has officially prohibited the merger between Vodacom and Maziv, one of South Africa’s largest fibre infrastructure companies. Following a 26-day hearing involving various industry witnesses and economic experts, the tribunal concluded that the merger would not be in the public interest. Vodacom’s intended acquisition aimed to integrate its mobile operations with Maziv’s assets.

They are world number one, Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus, Iga Swiatek of Poland, American Coco Gauff, Jasmine Paolini of Italy, another American, Jessica Pegula, Elena Rybakina of Kazakhstan, China’s Zheng Qinwen, and Barbora Krejcikova of the Czech Republic. Swiatek reclaimed the number one position from Sabalenka when she won the tournament last year. The final will be played on the ninth of November.

Only four-percent of tickets had found their way onto resale sites, which still amounts to tens of thousands. The tour starts in Cardiff with 16 other dates in the UK and Ireland to follow, before moving to Canada, the US, Mexico, and Australia.
