# Parliament says it is dismayed at unfounded utterances made by former Public Protector Busisiwe Mkhwebane. The Supreme Court of Appeal dismissed her appeal against a Western Cape High Court ruling related to her impeachment inquiry. # Cricket: Proteas spinner Tabraiz Shamsi has decided to withdraw from his national contract. The 34-year-old and Cricket South Africa said in a joint announcement the decision is effective immediately. SuperSport reports the move with allow Shamsi greater flexibility to play in various international leagues while still being able to play for South Africa. CSA says it respects his decision and believes he will still be dedicated to South African cricket. Shamsi has already played 51 one-day matches and 70 T20s for the Proteas.
