# The EFF says it condemns the blatant display of white privilege by Agriculture minister John Steenhuisen in his appointment of unqualified individuals to key positions within his ministry. The party’s spokesperson, Leigh-Ann Mathys, says the minister wants to appoint a spokesperson and two other high-profile ministerial positions to individuals whose highest qualification is a mere matric certificate. She says Steenhuisen’s request to deviate from the minimum requirements for his appointments is a blatant abuse of power:

The seven-year-old girl was gunned down in a gang crossfire while playing in Ocean View in February 2020. Yesterday the mayor attended the first day of a trial against two gangsters accused of the girl’s murder. Hill-Lewis says Emaan’s was not a senseless killing, but a calculated one:

Mongolia is a member of the ICC and is required to arrest Putin. Ukraine’s foreign ministry says Mongolia has allowed an accused criminal to evade justice, thereby sharing responsibility for the war crimes.
