Good day, let’s look at the latest sports news and scores:
# We start with rugby: Springbok coach Rassie Erasmus has named an experienced starting lineup to face Ireland at a sold-out Loftus Versfeld on Saturday. There are 20 World Cup winners in the match-day squad – 15 in the starting line-up, including captain Siya Kolisi, and a further five on the bench. Erasmus says they have opted for a six-two split between forwards and backs on the bench, with Sacha Feinberg-Mngomezulu featuring ahead of Manie Libbok:
Meanwhile, Junior Springbok coach Bafana Nhleko has made five changes to his starting team for tomorrow’s World Rugby Under 20 Championship match against Argentina in Stellenbosch. Among the changes from the team that beat Fiji earlier is Jaco Grobbelaar, who will make his debut at lock. Nhleko went for a 6-2 split on the bench because he expects a huge forward battle from the young Pumas. Number three prop Zachary Porthen will captain the hosts at the Danie Craven Stadium, with kick-off at 7pm.

A goal from Cody Gakpo and two from Donyell Malen saw Ronald Koeman’s Netherlands beat Romania three-nil and book their spot in the last eight. Meanwhile, Merih Demiral scored twice, including the quickest knockout-stage goal in the history of the Euros as Turkey stunned Austria two-one. Turkey are into their first Euros quarterfinal since 2008.
