# uMkhonto weSizwe announces the date for its manifesto rally
# And, rugby: Ireland beat Wales 31-7 in the Six Nations
# ANC president Cyril Ramaphosa has defended the ANC’s cadre deployment policy during the party’s manifesto launch in Durban. He argues that the policy aligns individuals with the party’s vision. He has criticised opposition parties in this regard, calling them hypocrites. Ramaphosa emphasises the historical significance of the policy in enabling black individuals to reach senior positions previously inaccessible to them:
# The uMkhonto weSizwe Party is set to hold its manifesto rally on April 6. Party spokesperson Nhlamulo Ndhlela confirmed that the event will not take place at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban, with stadiums in Johannesburg or the Eastern Cape under consideration. Ndhlela also stated that the party has no funders and is engaging with potential funders ahead of the general elections.

AFP reports Trump completed a sweep of the first four major nominating contests, with the “Super Tuesday” 15-state voting bonanza in ten days. Hayley has vowed to stay in the race, and is poised to step in should legal or health problems knock Trump out of the race. He will face his first criminal trial on 25 March.

Ireland secured a bonus point win and their 11th successive Six Nations victory equalled the record held by England, who set it between 2015 and 2017. Ireland will reportedly go to Twickenham to play England in a fortnight, with Wales looking for their first win in this year’s tournament at home to France.

The girl from Saldana Bay vanished on Monday while in the company of her mother’s boyfriend. Joslin’s mother appeals for her safe return. Allen says an integrated police task team, along with community members and various organisations, continues the search efforts:
