# Renowned Ndebele artist Esther Mahlangu’s iconic BMW art car will showcase in South Africa after a decade of international acclaim. The masterpiece will be showcased at the Iziko Museums in Cape Town next year. Mahlangu’s artwork, created on a BMW 525i, has traveled the world, featured in exhibitions from Washington DC’s National Museum of Women in the Arts to New York and Hong Kong. Commissioned by BMW, this project has granted the 88-year-old artist a platform to extend her creative legacy globally.

# Miss Universe South Africa Bryoni Govender has been named one of the top ten silver finalists in Miss Universe 2023’s Voice For Change. Her advocacy campaign Her Way Out, aims to take up the cudgels on behalf of women everywhere and help educate them on their legal rights. The three Voice for Change gold winners will be announced during the Miss Universe finale in El Salvador this weekend. They will each receive a 218-thousand-rand cash prize. People can vote for Govender on the Miss Universe website.

# The Gauteng Health Department will unveil the ‘I Serve With A Smile’ Campaign today to enhance patient experience and address staff attitudes. In response to 748 complaints in the second quarter of the 2023/24 financial year, the project aims to reduce patient dissatisfaction, promote service excellence, and boost morale among healthcare workers. Head of Communication, Motalatale Modiba, highlights a positive shift, noting a decrease in negative staff attitude from 34- to 31-percent. He says the department will showcase Nasi iSpani employment opportunities within the health system:

# The Tshwane University of Technology’s eMalahleni Campus recently launched the Programming Elites Club, aimed specifically at Information and Communication Technology students. The university says the club is to enable interaction and networking with students who are passionate about programming and to establish connections that may result in future partnerships and professional opportunities. The club’s founder Mfundo Ngcobo says they aim to nurture talent, encourage innovation and provide a platform for tech students to shine.

# And finally: The City of Cape Town says the refurbished MyCiTi Woodstock station is now fully operational. This comes after the station had to be rebuilt after extensive damage caused by a stationary bus that caught alight at the station in February last year. Mayoral committee member for Urban Mobility, Rob Quintas, says following a thorough assessment it was established that 80-percent of the MyCiTi station was severely damaged and had to be rebuilt:
