# Westville Correctional Services’ grade 12 inmates in KwaZulu-Natal have been hailed for achieving a 100 percent pass rate. Acting commissioner Tsandzeka Kenneth Mthombeni says the province registered a third consecutive 100 percent achievement in the matric exams. The uSethubeni Youth School for juvenile offenders also received an award for achieving a 100 percent pass rate for more than five consecutive years. Sfundo Gumede from uSethubeni came second nationally for receiving six distinctions. Three teachers also received national awards as best performing educators in their respective subjects.
