Tshwane mayor committed to turning around the metro’s financial state [SOUND]

# Tshwane mayor Nasiphi Moya says she remains committed to the council’s financial rescue mission. The debtor’s book stands at over 24.3-billion-rand as of 30 September, with the bulk of the debtors, 72.8-percent, are households that owe 17.7-billion-rand. Tshwane owes Eskom 7.8-billion-rand and Rand Water 517-million-rand. Moya says the situation in the metro was so bad that money needed to be redirected away from planned programmes:
