# Tshwane mayor Nasiphi Moya says the metro is committed to fixing the electricity crisis in Winterveldt. Eskom has declared Winterveldt as a red zone, meaning it will not bring electricity projects to the area because residents continue to attack its workers. Illegal electricity suppliers have also proliferated, selling unsafe transformers. Moya says minister of Electricity and Energy, Kgosientsho Ramokgopa, has agreed to visit Winterveldt.
