Trump avoids seizure of assets after posting bond in New York fraud case

# Former US president Donald Trump has posted a 3.3-billion-rand bond in his New York civil fraud case, averting the seizure of his asset by state authorities. He originally needed to pay around 8.6-billion-rand, but an Appeals Court ruled that he could pay the smaller sum within ten days. Trump and top executives at his company, including his two older sons, were accused of having schemed for years to deceive banks and insurers, by inflating their wealth on financial statements to secure loans and make deals. He has denied any wrongdoing.
