Treasury urged to consider additional funding for Gauteng NPOs [SOUND]

# Parliament’s portfolio committee on Social Development is calling on the National Treasury to consider the Gauteng Department of Social Development’s request for additional funding for non-profit organisations. The department was allocated a budget of 1.9-billion-rand for the 2024/2025 financial year for NPO funding. However, the financial requests from the organisations far exceeded what was allocated.
