# Tennis: The Women’s Tennis Association says it remains concerned about Chinese player Peng Shuai. In an interview with France’s L’Equipe newspaper, Peng says she never alleged she suffered a sexual assault and that her post in November last year was a huge misunderstanding. In the post, which was swiftly deleted, she claimed that a senior government official sexually assaulted her. WTA CEO Steve Simon says they have called for a formal investigation into the allegations by the appropriate authorities and an opportunity for the WTA to meet with Peng privately to discuss her situation.
