# The editor of the Media24 Sunday newspaper Rapport, Waldimar Pelser, has been appointed as the director of the five kykNET television channels of Multichoice. The 43-year-old Pelser is a seasoned journalist and a popular presenter of the news actuality programme In Gesprek. He takes over from Karen Meiring who has grown the Afrikaans presentation on the kykNET channels significantly since 2009. Pelser is an alumnus of the University of Oxford and a former news editor of Afrikaans Media24 daily Beeld.
