# South Africa has recorded one-thousand-275 new Covid-19 cases in the past 24 hours. The majority of new cases today are from Gauteng with 80-percent, followed by the Western Cape with five-percent, and KwaZulu-Natal and North West each accounting for three-percent respectively. There has been an increase of 53 hospital admissions in the past 24 hours. A further 22 Covid-19 related deaths have been reported, bringing the total fatalities to 89-thousand-657 to date. The country’s recovery rate is at 96.3-percent.
