# The manager of a fruit exporting company says their first pears of the season which are eagerly awaited in Europe should have landed this week. However, due to the slow tempo of shipping, the pears will only land in two weeks. He pointed out that the heatwave in the Western Cape has caused some sunburn to the fruit, but it does not appear to be significant.
