# In a joint project, Siemens South Africa and Aspen as well as the Deutsche Investitions und Entwicklungsgesellschaft have signed an agreement. This is to enable the use of digital technologies to enhance the efficiency of Covid-19 vaccine production on the African continent. The chief executive officer for Siemens, Sabine Dall’Omo, says this cooperation will be leveraged at the Aspen plant in Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape and strengthen the global competitiveness of the South African pharmaceutical industry:
