SA Medical Association Trade Union concerned about the humanitarian crisis in Palestine

# The South African Medical Association Trade Union says it is deeply concerned about the escalating humanitarian crisis in Palestine, specifically, healthcare facilities being bombed. More than half of the 35 hospitals in Gaza are no longer operational amid Israel’s bombardment and ground operations, which were launched in response to Hamas’s October seventh attacks on southern Israeli communities. SAMATU says it implores all involved to uphold international humanitarian laws and ensure the protection of healthcare facilities, and the medical personnel who risk their lives to save others.
