# Rugby: The two teams dominating the world rankings, the Springboks and the All Blacks, don’t have a single representative on World Rugby’s list of nominations for this year’s Player of the Year. The nominations are England’s lock Maro Itoje, the Wallaby captain Michael Hooper and teammate Samu Kereva, and France’s scrumhalf, Antoine Dupont. Bok loose forward Pieter-Steph du Toit won the accolade at the end of the 2019 World Cup, while a winner wasn’t announced last year. Bok winger Lukhanyo Am’s five-pointer against the British and Irish Lions was nominated as Try of the Year.
