# Rugby: Former Springbok World Cup-winning lock Hannes Strydom has died at the age of 58. According to reports, he died in an accident yesterday. Strydom played in 21 Tests at lock for the Springboks, and started in the 1995 World Cup final against the All Blacks, while he played in his last Bok match in August 1997. He is the fifth member of the victorious 1995 team who has passed away, following Ruben Kruger, Chester Williams, Joost van der Westhuizen and James Small.
