Rod Stewart to play Glastonbury’s legend slot

# Rod Stewart will be a headliner at the Glastonbury Festival next year and will play the Sunday teatime “legend” slot. He will be 80 when the festival takes place in June next year in Somerset. Sir Rod, known for hits such as Maggie May, You Wear It Well and Sailing, previously headlined the festival in 2002. During his career of six decades, he recorded 25 UK top 10 singles and 38 UK top 10 albums. He was knighted in 2016 for his services to music and charity.
