PSA raises alarm over South Africa’s alarming murder rate

# The Public Servants Association has expressed deep concern over South Africa’s latest crime statistics, revealing six-thousand-545 murders in a quarter and 19-thousand-279 murders this year. The PSA attributes the crisis to easy gun access, gender-based violence, porous borders, and inadequate policing. These figures undermine public safety, economic growth, and tourism, while leaving victims’ families in poverty. The PSA calls for improved security, mental health support, and societal unity to address poverty, inequality, and unemployment.
