# Western Cape premier Alan Winde has welcomed encouraging news on job creation in the province. The province has shown significant growth in employment between the third quarters of 2022 and this year. The Quarterly Labour Force Survey revealed an increase of 305-thousand jobs and a decrease in unemployment by 4.3-percentage-points year-on-year. Winde attributes the positive statistics to stable governance that fosters economic growth and job creation. While acknowledging persistent challenges, he emphasises the need for continued collaboration among stakeholders to further enhance employment opportunities.
