# A programme meant to provide a civil society and public perspective on the state of the nation with top defenders of democracy will be presented during a rally tonight at six at the St George’s Cathedral in Cape Town. A spokesperson for Defend our Democracy, Duduetsang Mmeti, says the event precedes president Cyril Ramaphosa’s delivery of the state of the nation address tomorrow. Tonight’s key speaker will be former Public Protector, Thuli Madonsela. Mmeti says there will also be inputs from various sectoral representatives:
