Pre-sentencing hearing begins in historic Namibian court case

# The pre-sentence hearing for a Namibian man found guilty on six murder counts after a horrific car crash almost 10 years ago, starts in the Swakopmund Regional Court today. Jandré Dippenaar didn’t have a valid license when he crashed head-on with another vehicle on a blind rise near Henties Bay in December 2014, causing the deaths of three of his passengers and three people in the other car. This is the first time a person was found guilty of murder in connection with a road accident in Namibia.
