Partnership aims to boost citrus farming for black farmers in Eastern Cape

# The Grower Development Company of the Citrus Growers’ Association of Southern Africa has joined forces with the Eastern Cape Development Corporation to enhance commercialisation opportunities for black citrus farmers. An 18-month agreement worth 1.2-million-rand, will support ten black farmers in the province. It seeks to facilitate compliance with export market standards and ethical trade practices. This initiative aims to diversify and strengthen the province’s citrus farming sector, in areas like Patensie and the Sundays River Valley.
