# Two-thousand-824 new Covid-19 cases have been recorded in South Africa in the past 24 hours. The majority of new cases are from Gauteng with 35-percent, followed by KwaZulu-Natal with 16-percent and the Western Cape accounting for 15-percent. There has been an increase of 101 hospital admissions in the past 24 hours. A further 20 Covid-19 related deaths have been recorded taking the total fatalities since the outbreak to 96-thousand-289. The country’s recovery rate is at 96.2-percent.
