# The National Student Financial Aid Scheme board has extended the deadline for financial aid applications to 21 January 2022. The extension is to allow students who have not applied for the funding to do so. According to NSFAS, it has enhanced its application portal to accommodate first-time applicants who are Sassa beneficiaries. NSFAS says 600-thousand applicants have registered thus far.
