Nigerian DStv viewers could get a month’s free viewing

# An antitrust tribunal in Nigeria has fined MultiChoice near two-million-rand and ordered a month of free viewing for its DStv and Go-tv subscribers in the country. Bloomberg reports the ruling was made after the company failed to adhere to an order to hold off from raising subscription fees without proper notice. This followed a lawsuit filed by an Abuja-based lawyer who said the eight-day notice given for the price increase was inadequate. The South African company plans to appeal the ruling.
