# Several mourners attended the memorial service yesterday of the late mayor of Emalahleni Municipality, Linah Malatjie and her husband, Essau at the City Hall in Emalahleni. The couple died in a car crash on Monday. Among the mourners were representatives of provincial and local government, political parties, church organizations, traditional leaders and communities. One of their granddaughters, Lethabo Malatjie, shared memories of the couple’s spiritual life and their servitude to the local community:
