# The Moti family has denied that a ransom was paid for the release of brothers Zia, Zayyad, Alaan, and Zidan. The boys were kidnapped on their way to school in Polokwane, Limpopo last month. News24 is reporting that a 50-million-rand ransom was allegedly paid in bundles of cash, to secure the release of the boys. They were dropped off in a village, near Vuwani, three-weeks after they were kidnapped. Family spokesperson Keshia Patchiappen says no ransom was paid, and the police were integral to the safe return of the brothers.
