# The management of the Eastern Cape police led by provincial commissioner, Nomthetheleli Mene welcomed newly appointed officials in a ceremony that took place at the Provincial Headquarters in Zwelitsha earlier today. A spokesperson, Maphelo Gogi, says a total of 107 officials benefitted from promotions and new ranks will be conferred to the appointees. Mene has been appointed as the new police commissioner for the Eastern Cape in December. She took over from Liziwe Ntshinga, who is now serving at the national office in Pretoria.
