Ministers constitutionally obligated to answer questions posed by MPs on time

# Parliament has stressed that ministers are constitutionally obligated to answer written questions posed by Members of Parliament on time. The statement comes as currently 259 questions remain unanswered. Parliament spokesperson Moloto Mothapo confirmed these are still within the prescribed time frame. A total of two-thousand-793 questions were posed, including two-thousand-475 written and 318 oral questions. So far, one-thousand-801 written and 285 oral questions have been answered. The official deadline for ministers to submit their written answers is 9 January.
