Minister Thembi Simelane welcomes gazetting of the legal sector code of good practice 

# Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development, Thembi Simelane has welcomed the gazetting of the legal sector code of good practice. The code, effective from last month, aims to transform the legal profession by addressing issues of access, discrimination, and inequality. Key goals include 50-percent black ownership in five-years, with 25-perfent for black women, and 50-percent black representation in management. Simelane is calling for nominations for the newly established legal sector charter council to oversee compliance with the code and promote diversity within the profession.
