# Minister of Sport, Arts and Culture, Gayton McKenzie, has officially signed the United Against Online Abuse Charter. The charter is a network composed of international sporting bodies, governments and regulatory institutions that are committed to the mission to combat online abuse in the sport movement. The department’s spokesperson, Zimasa Velaphi, says by joining the UAOA coalition, South Africa strengthens a growing international movement that addresses online abuse through research, policy development and education:
