Minister Creecy to handover Nqamakwe and Ngomanzi plantations in the Eastern Cape

# Minister of Forestry, Fisheries and the Environment, Barbara Creecy, will launch the Community Forestry Agreements in Butterworth in the Eastern Cape today. She will also hand over the Nqamakwe and Ngomanzi plantations. The department says the historic agreements form part of the 26 plantations transferred to Traditional Councils over the past three years in the Eastern Cape, Limpopo, and KwaZulu-Natal. It adds that the plantations, predominantly eucalyptus, play a vital role in sustainable forestry management.
